Meet Desiree Oglesby





“I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist when I was a very young girl,” said Oglesby. “I also knew I wanted to own a salon. I started working as a shampoo assistant when I was 12-years-old. I believe what led me to this work was my love for all things aesthetically pleasing— gorgeous hair, gorgeous jewelry, gorgeous flowers, gorgeous art, gorgeous places, combined with the ability to create.”
Oglesby’s love of hair from a young age, combined with her desire to make women feel confident is what keeps her motivated.
"Everyday I look forward to what the day has to bring, new adventures and challenges are what keeps me passionate,” she said. “I am motivated because I know that in all my accomplishments, I still have more to do and I am excited because I know there is still so much more in my future to experience.”

Everyday straightening should be avoided, try opting for once a week, or every two weeks if possible. This schedule will insure that your hair is not taking too much heat, keeping it at a healthy balance.
